The Treasure Hunt

We are midway across this course and it started to feel like a "Treasure Hunt"!  We are bunch of Hunters on a common trail after the 'treasure' or let me pluralize it, “Treasures”, to reflect the abandon glitters; enough for each one of us to enjoy his and her own share. It is great game as we didn't have to pack heavy from the start for we are collecting the necessary tools and maps along the route. Good thing we anticipated that and brought along our large empty backpack, large pockets and an open and critical mind!

This week I filled few compartments in my backpack with Alternative Assessment methods and tools, Rubrics and WebQuests and a little extra load of PBL and learned how to utilize them in my final digging. Exciting, right?!

You know, come to think about it, it feels more of a high-tech game of Geocaching in a sense where every participant leaves some items behind for others to grab and use. This core of collaborative learning is demonstrated in the enthusiastic postings and comments on Nicenet, the blogs and other different web media. Everyone is supportive and eager to help in joining the loose puzzle pieces of each other.

Today, another piece of my project puzzle is attached. After identifying the Audience and the Issue to work on, a solution is on the table.

What is coming next? Tomorrow is another week and another step into the woods. Are you enjoying the experience, the scenery and the company as much as I am?

  2. Hello Hassan,
Your comparisons of things are amazing!
It's marvelous how you described us as "hunters" on a treasure quest! Your details and style make me just visualize the group of hunters.
With my best wishes to find the treasure as soon as possible.
