Since Internet connection is highly unreliable in Lebanon, I had to come up with Plan B to keep up with my online course.
I am downloading all the reading documents for this course ahead of time and saving them on my hard disk. It is a tedious extra work and time consuming, but this way, I can still catch up on my readings offline in time of crisis.
On another note, I suggest backing up your work either on a “Cloud” and/or an external Hard Disk. This way, in case you lose your soft copies due a technological failure, a virus, theft or unfortunate accident, you can minimize your loses with the backup. I am taking advantage of both backups. Since I have a Google account, I am using Google Docs; it is easy and FREE!

Hi Hasan,
ReplyDeleteI have to absolutely agree with you especially that I live in Lebanon too. Despite the fact that the electricity problems make us extremely frustrated and outraged, they seem to be effective as we creatively devise new solutions to our problems. They teach us moral lessons as well like the one you posted in the other message.
Nice meeting you, Hasan.
Nihmat
Nihmat,
ReplyDeleteDespite all the creative solution that I try to come up with, somehow the problems seems to creep up. It is like we are in a continuous battle with taming the technology to our needs. Irony is that I am talking about what is supposed to be 'basis' and 'normal' technology such as electric power and internet connection. I learned not to take anything for granted.
Nice meeting your too Nihmat.
Have a nice weekend.
Hassan
